I decided to do some more work on the Blackhawk Hudson's tender today.  I cut a brass tubing short section with a red jewel of the same size at one end as the tender's back up light and epoxy the 2 pieces together and put it on the chuck of the power drill to round it a bit and smooth out the rough edges using fine sand paper. The red jewel and brass tube section slips INSIDE the back up light opening of the rear of the tender very nicely.   I did some silver paint touch ups on the handrail posts of the engine, black paint touch ups rear ladder of the tender too.   I received the "Burlington Route" decals from Dave of LBR yesterday.  The decals are of custom sizes thus smaller ones for the front of the engine and larger ones for the door of the tail end of the observation car.   I found out it best for the temp to be in low 70's for good spraying of paint or clear coating but at this hour 4:18 PM PST, it is in upper 90's so I will have to get up bit early tomorrow morning to spray the clear coat on areas where the decals will be placed on while its bit cooler in low 70's before it get too hot in afternoon.   When the decaling work is done then next is to spray final clear coat over the whole engine and tender bodies then finally time to glue or epoxy the lens in its place.  That would be all for the rest of this month until in June.  In June I will purchase smoke unit , sound unit from Dallee (HOPE it is LOUD enough) and roller pick ups assemblies from WBB for the tender.  In July, new NWSL gearbox, front flywheel and pair of engineer/ fireman figures already seated from MTH, paint the driver centers silver with black rims and probably be finish in July.    Guys,  I don't know why the C.B.& Q railroad call this train "Blackhawk" when the whole train is painted in silver when it should be called "Silverhawk" instead ?  I will post pictures in hour or so today.
