Hello guys and gals.......

I just weighted the Blackhawk Hudson with the 8 OZ lead weight and no front and rear trucks and with the body, its weight is 4.538 pounds on a digital scale without the tender. Is this kind of light for a 3 rail Hudson type locomotive ? What does a die-cast Hudson weight such as a lionel 773 and others ? I know that the heavier the engine, more wear and tear on the drive train and the flanges as well.
