Tiffany, I'm sorry to hear about your brother. Many years ago I went through the same with my sister.

Now Tiffany, this doesn't sound like you. GIVING UP!!!! You owe it to the old gal to finish her. It's just a set back. Remember, I gave you that engine (less $13.50) so you must finish her. You've done so much fine work on it and made her beautiful. Take a couple of days off, rest and do the right thing by her. You'll be glad you did. Don

Hello Don.

I have been thinking this evening about how to fix the problem and I might have found a way to fix it. I think I can"lightly" sand the affected areas (about 1/4 inch long) and recoat it as I just have to deal with 3 affected spots.  I think it will turn out ok after thinking about it for while.  I will try to take pictures of "before and after" affected areas.  If it turns out great then I will be glad to finish it !!!  I just need to replace the gearbox with the better NWSL gearbox and pair of engineer/ fireman figures with seats, paint the driver centers silver then its finished.  I really didn't give up but of course it was a set back and felt like giving up though.  I just LOVED that shining silver Hudson.  I do want to finish that old lady.   My brother and I never gotten along as he was a bully to me and a expert in guns too.  I am just glad its over.  When the police filed the death report and send me a copy list of his items by e-mail, his guns were missing !!!

Don , thank you for your kind words, it really helped !!!
