Loss of signal as Imperial engine passes over Operating/Uncoupling Fastrack section

I have a poblem similar to the one I described in  this thread:  https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/...20749-1-bnsf-es-44ac   When one of my Imperial engines crosses over this track:

The first roller passes over the center of the track (uncoupling magnet) with no problem.  The trailing roller will stall as it reaches the plastic area just before the magnet.  I've had to grind down the plastic leading to the magnet for other reasons that's why it looks like it does.  This O/U Track does not interfere with the engines. It's only the track in the second picture below.  As you can see, I've placed copper tape so the center rail is unbroken.  That fixed the problem, but, if I ever want to use the "uncoupling" feature..I'm out of luck.  What's puzzling to me, it's only the Imperial engines that stall, yet, there is continuity between the front and rear rollers.  This stalling occurs in both directions.  Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, any more elegant solutions??? Thanks.
