I put up 2 large loops every year (11 x 12)ish. It used to be more, but I’ve changed a bunch of the layout to atlas track. I just like the look.
I like the lube idea, but really find that it’s more of a patience thing and making sure I don’t mess up the metal tabs. After a few times dissasembling and reassembling, I find it wears in nicely. I’ve taken to boxing up my track in sections of 2 or 3 pieces. I make small marks on the track be to remind me where to assemble and disassemble. As I damage pieces, I move them around and make them part of permanent connections. I use the MTH clips in the bottom for “permanence”
