I would buy a kit but I don't expect there would be significant savings compared to a ready-to-run model. Kits could also present warranty issues for the manufacturer if the model has a problem after assembly by a hobbyist. Is the defect due to the manufacturer or the person who assembles it, and who is responsible for fixing it?
