Reply to "Memories ! And now back to the present at the Steel Mill !"

First an answer for John and thanks to everyone else. The backdrop is Flexi Ply easy to bend because I wanted to have curved corners the "sky" paint is just cheap water based house paint coloured to what i thought looked right the 'clouds" are from a spray can lightly feathered in a circular motion careful not to heavy on the spray. The ply is on a framework of 2X1 pine attached to the wall could have made it free standing attached to the baseboard but took the easy way out as i have changed the baseboards an number of times over the last 30 odd years.

Now todays photos during an operating session which we have every Friday just three of us.

The official photos show a derailment caused by an ingot car pushed over the dirt bumper causing the Gondola to hit it and throwing the gon into the locomotive no one was hurt except their pride and an enquiry is underway and I can tell you quietly those "dirt bumpers" are going to be replaced with Steel one's very soon! An unfortunate chain of events involving two maybe three trains the ingot car was not moving at the time but sitting on the dirt to close to the curved track "Tsk Tsk"!

The ist photo shows a coke train heading for the high line while the workshop yard is recieving a pipe load.

2nd Photo shows the BOF receiving a load of scrap while an empty Hot Metal train is waiting to depart.

3rd photo shows action at the Rolling Mill while next door a passenger train has just arrived using the RS3 for power.

4th photo shows an empty slag pellet train arriving at Valley Forge.

That's it for today a very enjoyable day of train running with my mates. American trains are never boring especially O scale one's!  Roo.
