Reply to "Mercer Junction Web Site"

Mercer Junction has been gone for quite some time now. . . sadly. Dave is back to being a rock star drummer with The Clarks; creating and building custom motorcycles; writing a regular column for OGR; and working on his dynamite layout. I definitely do miss the train store, though! It was the source of a lot of the trains I own, as well as many of the great friendships that were initiated there.

I remember my visit to Mercer Junction.  Dave was certainly very modest about the "rock star drummer" part - I had to pull it out of him.  Whenever someone mentions a new (to me) band, I check it out but am usually not overly impressed.  This time was different - when we got home, I checked out the Clarks - now a huge fan and we've traveled to several of their shows.  If anyone is unfamiliar, but you like roots rock such as CCR, Springsteen, etc., they're worth a listen.

And I think that writing the OGR column will be Dave's next road to fame and riches.

Sadly, I only made it to the store once, but nothing is forever.  Except the Clarks, at least so far...
