Unfortunately, I don’t have precise dates for these photos, just general recollections!!! The first was taken at Steamtown. Shortly after the collection was moved from Bellows Falls to Scranton, they held a Railfan Weekend (it was definitely in the mid-80’s). It was in the fall - it was dreary, cold, and a bit wet weekend. 2317 in full CP regalia was used to pull several trips out to Moscow as I remember. This was before departure...
The second pic comes from the California Railroad Museum in the early 90’s. I was traveling on business and had to give a seminar in Sacramento, so I made sure to schedule it for the afternoon, and spent the morning at the museum. This EMD F7A was posed outside the museum (from what I can find online, luckily the have moved it indoors).
