Midweek Photos 2/20/2019

Good Wednesday to everyone!  I am starting the thread early, because I am expecting a busy day at work.  Let's get right to the Midweek Photos.

This past weekend, the Electric City Trolley Station & Museum in Scranton PA ran their trolley as part of Presidents Day Weekend.  They also played host to the live steam (mostly G gauge) event which has been going on for about 20 years now. Philadelphia Suburban Transportation car no 80 is heading toward the museum, passing the Brady yard of the former Lackawanna & Wyoming Valley Railway.

I was using three cameras this day, so I could get a combination of telephoto and regular shots.

Four trips ran that day.  The first two pics are of the 12 noon trip.  This is the same car crossing Cedar Ave in Scranton on the 1:30 trip. The bridge in the background is part of the Steamtown yard.

Here is the car on the return.  The trip runs about 5 miles to Moosic, PA where the restoration shop is.  The Triple A baseball field field is nearby.  In this location, the trolley poles are not as much of a distraction, since  they are on the opposite side of the track.

A tight curve lies ahead.  This is new track laid for the trolley operation.  It also travels over some DL&W tracks, L&WV tracks, an Erie Lackawanna connection, and Erie heritage tracks.

Toodle-oo!  The car rounds the bend to head back to Scranton.  On the route is a 4,747 foot long tunnel. It is quite the ride.

That is my contribution for the week.  What have you tracked down recently?  If it is on rails, we like to see it.  Post your contributions here.  Talk to you soon.
