You are also correct on this point, on some of the tenders the inside small tabs at the very back end of the tender, need to be touched up with a Drem on both sides to run on 031 RealTrax, if I remember correctly. Walt the easy fix is just to run your train on 036 or 042 min curves, the bigger 036 & 042 RealTrax curves cost very little money. Walt I do understand your frustration with this problem, in reality it's MTH that made the mistake, buy not actually testing the full train on 031 track and then packaging the train set as they did.
