I've posted these pics on my build thread, but they're appropriate here too. The laser cut parts arrived for the engine house.
I made a booboo on the on the machine shop side walls. I put the darn tabs on the wrong end. DOH! Stephen Milley has already cut and mailed me corrected ones. I spent a lot of time aligning those tabs on the CorelDraw Laser Cutting drawings. Too bad I wasn't paying attention to how the walls were oriented when I drew them.
This shows why it had to be so darn long.
Here it is sitting where it will be when it's actually built.
I have another commission job I'm building before I can get to this one. I was just holding it together with clamps to see if my plans actually worked with the layout. Other than the tabs screwup, it fits exactly as it should.
I just contacted Crescent Locomotive Works to see about those service platforms. I don't have space between the tracks since their only 3.5" on center due to the Ross #4 switch ladder spacing, but I will need something on the outside tracks. I'll posting this entire build on my regular running thread, if anyone cares to see its construction.
