Yes, this is done at my favorite rapid prototype supplier. I can choose different material. And for some reason, my first try, the orange painted 907 preview caboose was done with a diferent material than the second try. For me the material at the second try - the white caboose - is not my final material. Way too rough material. But we can try a much better and fine material.
But in any case, I like the brass like my caboose 901 much better. But if I compare the cost, a brass caboose in final will be 3 or 4 times more expensive if I do only one or two cars. If I do more brass will be much and much cheaper. But I think that maybe a mixed version is much better. High detail out of brass and the rest with rapid prototype.
