The larger coal would definitely help. But I also have a 397 coal loader and I tried the larger rounded coal. But it won't skip up the ramp.

However, the suggestions for larger coal can still work if I can find large coal that is not round but jagged.

Or, I can simple sift out the small pieces in the coal I already have.
