Need advice on motor replacement for legacy lionmaster challenger 6-82694

The motor with the flywheel and encoder says sold out for this model. I need this motor. Will this motor I came across work instead. I searched lionels parts website for motors and found this one. Will this motor work for me? I want to be sure before I buy it.
