Sadly, unless one of the smaller custom manufacturers pick this up as a project, I think we'll be modifying our own Mountaineer. I don't think any of the large manufacturers will ever have the demand for this model to justify production of a detailed unit.
Again, I am extremely pleased with MTH's attention to the O&W. As fans, they'd produced F3's, FT's, and NW2's in the proper colors/schemes and have given is the 44 tonner finally, which we can work with. That is our whole diesel fleet. i'd love to see another run of all those in different numbers and single F3A units. Another camelback and some smaller steam would be welcomed too.
With all the positives we've got, I'll let them slide on this one... Just hoping we see a detailed model true to prototype at some point from someone.
