MPC P&H Crane kit

I just picked up an unassembled MPC P&H Crane kit on EBay because I needed some of the parts for another MPC item. It appears to be the early MPC lemon yellow version. According to the seller, it came from a P&H crane dealer in Buffalo NY. Before I rob parts from this kit, I was wondering whether anybody has heard of Lionel selling these kits to P&H or it's dealers. If it's a legitimate MPC item, I will probably keep it together.
