Update: The reason for cancellation is if altered, Lionel would not warranty the engines. Great call to not send a customer a potential paperweight.
If 'the lack of warranty coverage' statement is correct, particularly when only superficial changes were being proposed in Mr. Muffin's case, that raises an interesting question. Are all engines that are 'Custom Runs' not going to be warranteed by ANY manufacturer?
