MTH 20-3029-1 marker LED change

I have a MTH 20-3029-1 Southern Pacific GS4 that has been converted to PS2 3V. https://mthtrains.com/20-3029-1

The locomotive still has its original red LED marker lights. I'd like to change them to green LEDs. Would the later green marker LEDs used in subsequent releases of the Premier GS4 be plug and play?
