Strap hanger buddy, I knew you’d have some info!

So, I just bought the Lo v in Green with Christmas Lights. That’s a 4 train with the stop at 166 st Yankee Stadium. Do you remember if your red Ps2 is also a 4 train? I think it was you that told me the only Lo v that had the Yankee stadium stop was the one I just bought with the lights. So the Lo v sets must have different train stops.

It appears MTH made the PS2 Lo-vs  somewhat prototypical for their initial release time (1916 to 1925), lacking any numbered route signage, since they didn't use them back then.  My green and red Lo-vs both had the same route - Lexington Avenue express (white plains road, Utica Avenue, etc.). The signage is on the side of the cars written in white letters over a black paper. By the way, if you don't mind going a little fantasy with these Lo-v models, you can download one of the other routes from a more modern ps3 subway and upload it. The signage is easy to change, since its only white letters on black print. You can easily make your own fantasy subway with the stops/line you want.  Heck, the Lo-vs were eventually replaced in 1969, so there's probably some prototypical routes that MTH has on other models you can download and install, you just need to change that signage located on the side windows of the model. Very easy to do with your printer.

Also, I have the blue Q train that has the worlds fair stop. There are other color Qs that seem to have been made in the same release, and my blue set are P 3. Do you have any Q, and if so what are the colors and lines?

I only have the blue worlds fair Q car in ps2, which has the same stops as the PS3 model. They are probably the best made cars in the entire MTH fleet, with non flimsy windows (comparable only to the R-21 redbirds, #2 line)

Finally, maybe I will start a thread listing the sets I have and what each line is and the stops. Maybe we can put together the missing resource. If we get participation I’ll gather the info and put it on a Google spreadsheet and make it an open database. What do you think?

Sounds like a good idea. One easy way that might enable this (other than all of us running each of our trains and writing down the stops) would be to download the ps3/ps2 sound file from mth's website for each particular model (entire list is linked above). Then upload the sound file into the software that Trainlover9943 mentioned on Brooklyn Corey's thread. You can then sample the sound file and hear all the stops on your computer.  You might want to try that with the #30-20396-1 red lov, ps3 model.

Thanks for all your help. It’s beautiful in Portland today, but man do I miss the City. At least I have my Subway sets. I’m gonna run them today!

South Florida is particularly wonderful today as well. In fact, I have a conference call that i need to dial into shortly at 1.  Looks like i'll be putting on my phone's headphones and fishing from the backyard during the call (love that mute button).  Maybe there is a sliver of good in this pandemic mandated telework after all, LOL!

Miss the City? On a day like today, Nope, I don't miss commuting in the City at all!
