Reply to "MTH #30-20396-1 MTA LO-V 4-Car Subway Set w/Sound"

The sound files are right next to the MP3 icons that you mentioned. Ignore the mp3 icon. that is just a snippet of the sound file for you to play in your browser. It won't play all the sounds and station stops. The protosound icon with the 3 in the middle is for the PS3 sound file download. Click that for your ps3 subways. If there is another option with protosound (without the 3 in the middle) this is the ps2 sound file download.  I found all of my engines have the sound files for download except the NY Yankees R-17 set. I emailed MTH on multiple occasions asking them to send it to me and never got a response. One day I'll take the time to copy it off the engine. Hopefully my train won't die before then.  Once download, Trainlover9943 turned us on to that program which lets you listen and re arrange the order or change MTH sound file snippets (You can view it here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRWHvU_6KFU). Its a very cool program for customizing subway sound files. You can listen to everything on the computer as well.  Try it out by dowloading the PS3 soundfile for the model you're asking about (#30-20396-1), then opening the sound file with that program. You should be able to play the whole thing.

Hope this helps.

It does help! Unfortunately, it looks like this is a PC program and I'm a Mac guy. So I'll have to borrow a PC laptop t go any further. But thanks for the info!
