Not sure how this turned into an MTH vs. Lionel discussion. That was clearly not my point.

I was simply responding to a poster who intimated that he could not run Legacy steam on 0-31 curves and/or was limited to 0-6-0's and Camelbacks. Another poster responded that there were many varieties of Legacy steam that would run down to 0-31 and I was simply adding an additional option for the poster for an LC+2.0 Big Boy that would also run on 0-31 curves and is compatible with the Legacy system (as opposed to other models in the LC line-up).

Congratulations on your Imperial Big Boy.

That wasn't my intent Richie, I have the Imperial and I really feel it was a great value especially with the additional cars included and the added quilling whistle. I still would like to get the LC2 version from Lionel but price tag was my deterrent. I'm just going to have wait to see if a nice used one will ever pop up in the future on the 2nd hand market. To me, semi-scale models like these are supposed to be affordable and paying over grand for a single semi-scale articulated engine was just too much. However not so for others, as I understand the new LC2 Big boys are sold out pretty much everywhere.
