I also made a thread about this. It’s like it somehow loses connection with the engine yet can somehow make it go to top speed. Really makes me angry considering it’s $100 for the unit and $25 for the premium app and yet MTH doesn’t fix that issue

Jack:

Its not a loss of connection.  It’s exactly what Bob notes in his response.  If you accidentally hit the white max speed arrow it will increase the speed to that setting.  Since the default maximum speed with the WiFi download is 120 scale miles per hour; that’s exactly the speed the engine will accelerate to.

And one thing I’ll add here about the WiFi app; you have an emergency stop capability by simply bumping your thumb or finger on the screen to the left of the speed dial and just above the reverse button.

When you download the app it defaults to the invisible emergency stop but; you can make the button visible by following the prompts when you click on “more” to the bottom right of your screen.  When this opens, click on advanced features then on system settings.  There is a slide button there that when turned off will prompt you to create a password to “un-hide” the emergency stop button on the main screen.

You are THE MAN Curt!!! I live and die w/ my DCS remote, on and next to me, simply for the e-stop function in case of emergency!! I was so surprised that MTH had missed that feature in the WIU/APP environment, which as you have so graciously pointed out, is NOT missing after all!

P.s., mine shows up just under the BELL Icon:
