MTH DCS WIU Wifi failure with multiple phone/tablets

I had expected to be able to have multiple phones and tablets control locomotives via the same single WIU/TIU on my layout. However, despite purchasing two separate downloads of the app, when I begin commanding a 2nd locomotive from the 2nd device, I very quickly get connection failures on both phone/tablets. I have to power down the system and bring things up again. Meanwhile, the handheld controller continues to work fine, which leads me to conclude the issue is at the WIU. I am using the "Home" setting, with both devices connected to my home Wifi network to also reach the WIU.

Are others able to successfully control multiple locos with multiple tablets on the current MTH DCS system? I saw this thread from several years ago that implied folks could, but I haven't seen discussion of actual use. https://ogrforum.ogaugerr.com/...cs-wifi-app-question
