Received my Western Auto TOFC yesterday.
The trailers are very colorful and well done.
My childhood bike ( a great 3 speed...top of the line in the 50's) was from Western Auto.
I worked at that store for 2 summers and 2 Christmas seasons while in college. We sold and installed millions (at least it seemed like that many) tires, exhaust systems, batteries, brakes, tune ups, etc and 5 vans full of assembled bikes (for Christmas). It seemed to me like I assembled all the bikes and put them in the vans for customers to pick up (all were on lay-away). Most customers came for their bikes the day before Christmas. I was pretty busy getting them out of the trailers and tying them to the roof or the trunks of cars (wish people had SUVs back then!).
These vans and the picture of the bike on the side being back many memories.
