I am setting up a new Christmas MTH Real Trax layout which includes four 40-1008 Operating Track Sections and eight Real Trax switches. I am using a Z-1000 to power the switches and the operating track sections and a Z-4000 to power the tracks. I would like to wire the switches and operating track sections in parallel with the AIU and the remote controls that come with the switches and operating track sections. The manual with the 40-1008 is not very helpful and frankly not in focus on the MTH web site. I am trying to wire the 40-1008 as seen in option 3 Auxiliary Power Operation and have 2 questions. It shows one of the black wires from the control being separated and going to the Auxiliary Power Transformer. What terminal does it go to? Hot or common? The other wire from the Aux Power Transformer shows the other wire going nowhere. Where does that go?
Any help would be appreciated.
