What about the model shown on the website and in catalogs? Is that just a prototype the factories produced the one time?
How about a computer generated image?
Yup, looks photoshopped. Maybe an HO model with O gauge couplers photoshopped on it. Doesn't look like a physical O gauge sample.

Photoshopping of models from other scales is not unknown to both MTH and Lionel catalogs.
