To be frank, the few pieces of their rolling stock I have are very cheaply built and easily damaged. I would have to overcome my own “mental hurdle” before feeling comfortable spending $500 or more on a Menards produced Railking locomotive.

I agree about the Menards rolling stock. I purchased a hopper and was a bit disappointed on how the ladder it wouldn't clear and kept causing derailments. I had to remove the ladder. Anyway, sometimes you do get what you pay for and Menards freight cars are very inexpensive.
