John, wonderful! I think it may have been a zinc-pest issue, quite brittle. I checked another loco & same deal. So I would like to buy 2 . This one is 1 7/8 " and the other is 2" so 2- 2" couplers would be fine. naborboy@optonline.net Thanks in advance, Clifford
