Reply to "MTH RS-3's announced"

Relax.....These are RS-3's not RS-1's.    GN 182 thru GN 185 were RS-1's.   GN 229 is correct for an RS-3.  229 is also the one that is on display in GN colors at Schenectady, NY

Here is a small clip from the official all-time GN locomotive roster.  It shows only 4 RS3s.

Just because an engine is on display does not mean it bears the correct number.  That engine may never have been on the Great Northern. Of the four they had, 3 were scrapped years and years ago.  What is the chance that that is the ONE?

PS:  If this sounds argumentative, not my intention.  However, I will continue to look for documented official evidence that the number used on the model and display was used on a RS3.  The official roster has had errors before.

Lastly, I would hope that this run be done with an official documented numbered, because it would be incredibly simple to just do that knowing that GN used 182 to 185.
