Reply to "MTH RS-3's announced"

Very interesting. A quick internet search led me to this website that says the GN did have a RS3 with the number 229.  It states that the former GN RS3 229 is on display in New York. It also states that the GN did not use the numbers 182, 183, 184 and 185 for RS3s.

I would think that 229 would sell more units as I think most enthusiasts would like a model of the last one that exists over one that got scrapped.

I also found that Atlas did the GN RS3 229 in HO so they obviously think it is a good number and Atlas did GN RS3 230 in N scale so once again they feel it is a correct number and we all know that in the smaller scales stuff like this matters a lot more.
