Early MTH Premeir 2 rail engines were only DC operational without sound and all 3 rail engines with part numbers followed by an "-O", as opposed to a "-1", were equiped with electronic reverse, bell, and horn/whistle only. The "1" has always been an indication of ProtoSound, though some early engines like the MTH MT-3016L NYC Empire State Express used an "L" to indicate they had PS.
