My preferred brand is MTH - by far. I think their quality, operation and fidelity to prototypes, especially on locomotives, has always been the best. Even though we're just talking about a common caboose in this case, I was very impressed with how well it is assembled. Everything on mine is perfect - couldn't be any better. I like unlettered passenger cars and cabooses because they can be run behind any locomotive. On this one, I would have preferred black or red trim instead of yellow.

I probably will not add lettering to this but, if I do, it will be the initials of my model railroad - the NYT&B.

As far as MTH quality is concerned, check out Switcher Saturday on 12/17/22. I'm planning to post a comment about an MTH locomotive that might be of interest to you...
