MTH Z1000 transformer

I am about to purchase the MTH Z1000 transformer for my MTH Berkshire 2-8-4 through Model Train Stuff - costing about $105.

- is this the right transformer for my train?

- is this a good price

- is anyone familiar with Model Train Stuff ? Good place, bad place?
