I use KiCad for PCB and Schematic design, a free, open source, program that is comparable to many of the expensive programs out there, though it does have some quarks to work around.  Once you get past the initial learning curve it is pretty straight forward. [obsolete web site link]

In your post above you have a link to the obsolete KiCad web site.  The new web site is just “kicad [dot] org” and there are warnings not to go to the old web site due to an ownership change.
