As long as a layout meets your needs for enjoyment that's all that matters! I always wondered what it would be like to be a kid in the post-war period when those accessories were in their heyday. Layouts like yours allow myself and others to have that experience - when trains were a staple in the toy universe of kids and provided hours of playtime which stoked the imagination.
