Had what seems to be the same experience as ConRailFan. The Lionmaster Challenger I bought was listed as used, C-8 condition. It still had all of the packing around the wheels and handrails from the factory and the plastic wrap. The manual was still in it's plastic sleeve, and everything looked pristine. From what I could tell, there'd never been any fluid in the smoke unit and the wheels had no signs of use. Everything worked flawlessly.
Also bought a used TMCC command system at $118 about the same time. Like the locomotive everything was in the plastic sleeves, the manuals looked like they'd never been touched, as did all the boxes. All of the flaps were super tight when opening. Even had the warranty card in it.
If these were used, then they were bought and never handled from the look of it.
They were extremely well packed for shipping too.
The prices were excellent, the shipping was quick. The condition was better than I expected. This was my first purchase of bigger ticket items from them. I've mostly bought parts from them in the past. After this, I'll have no problem buying from them in the future.
