Wow! If the locos (Lionel 675, 225E, etc.) were actually moving under their own power, someone must have done a LOT of work to make them run on 2-rail track with no outside 3rd rail. I have to watch again to see if perhaps they were being moved by hand, by pushing on the rear of the train, etc. In any event, a great video, truly amazing for its time. It sort of reminds me of the "claymation" Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Christmas special produced by Rankin-Bass in the 1960s.
