Is it possible to swap Railking tender trucks between tender bodies?

Say I have two tenders each MTH Railking Imperial. They both have 3 axle tender trucks. Mechanically they should be swappable but how about electronically? Would swapping trucks between tenders also require swapping electronics entirely between the two shells?
