Need advice on repair

My son’s model train engine has a chipped flange on a drive wheel of the front truck. It runs fine except for a ‘click’ each revolution as it follows a curve in the track. Is this something I can replace? If so, need I purchase a drive wheel, disassemble the truck and replace just the wheel or does the convenience-to-cost ratio make it better to just buy a replacement truck to swap out? Are parts readily available? I have tools! Do I need a repair shop?
