I have the same engines and a Legacy Cab2... I have never hit AUX1 on the Cab2 to set up an engine. With the engine in program mode, I simply hit ENG, the desired ID number, and set - you should get the beep confirmation. Then I set the engine to run and off it goes (99% of the time!!!).
