I would suggest that you might get better response posting this under Tinplate Trains forum.
Greenberg's guide to prewar trains (the hardcover) should help. It is listed in the softcover. It says only:
Steam 2-4-0 Early O 30-35
(A) With 4-wheel 257 tender
(B) With 8-wheel 258 tender
ALSO:
Steam 2-4-2 Late O, 41
(A) Black
(B) Gunmetal
I hope you can get them fixed to your satisfaction. I have a 259E. It looks quite similar and is an absolute joy to run.
