Well with the open door feature gone thats is a big let down,but the other factors at lest for me out weigh loosing that feature. The new legacy bluetooth electronics will be a lot better and pcb board wise a better set up than the old tmcc with odyssey. The addition of the rear unit powered with sounds is a step up from the old one. The truck redesign for changing traction tires is a real real big plus. This is what always kept me from buying the original one. The station sounds car looks to be sound wise a nice addition also. The cars tilting feature looks to be simpler and will work better every time. Having not seen this in my hands yet this is just my opinion.
So after listening to dave olson talk about it and checking the reactions from youtube and here on the forum. while I think the price is a little high I still hope it is made. I have always wanted one. Lets hope if this is made the quality control on this model will be very high priority on lionels part. Not counting on it,but given the history of the original one lionel should want these sets to be right from the get go. We will see though.
