Received my smoke fluid tank car today. Viewing in natural lighting (rather than artificial), I was able to find red and white component boxes and set box end labels that are close to the color on the tank car. The boxes do vary. Some original Gilbert boxes are more red in hue, but the tank car appears to be reasonably close to others. The car's finish is more matte than the red lithography on P8-9 (but half century old) boxes which can result in perceived differences.

Pretty car, BTW, for the Flyer crowd.
