The WOMAN engineer's voice is a good addition. In 1974 Christine Gonzalez became the first woman engineer on a Class 1: the Santa Fe.

For modern day railroading, not a problem at all.  I'm perfectly good with it.  If I were to buy this set, I'd be just fine with a female engineer's voice.  As a matter of fact, Kudos to Lionel for not mentioning it in their advertising.  Who cares, know what I mean?!?!?!?

However, my main modeling interest is pre-1974.  No women engineers for me in this time frame, thanks.  I'm far more into prototypical and historical accuracy than I am PC insanity.  Gurly men and feminists may object, but oh well.     'Tis what it is.
