I recall putting a J&W BCR in my PCC was not easy. The original white MTH battery was 46mm long and the J&W was 47mm. I couldn't get it to fit until I sawed off 2mm from the bottom of the BCR. Had I sliced one more mm off, I would have cut into the BCR capacitor wire.
