That's not enough. If you have another feeder/lockon every 4-6 joints with that old track you will noticed a marked improvement.

Nope. "O" or O-27, they all work fine - CTC, LTC, UTC, Marx, K-Line, Flyer, MTH 11-99021,they all work fine.
