The prototype GP38 is 3' longer and about 1' taller than the GP20. Bear in mind that what Lionel calls a GP20 is in reality the Lionel GP7 body with a low nose.

However, the LC+ GP38 is designed to fit on the LC+ GP7/9/20 frame and the GP38 proportions have been adjusted to fit.
