GunrunnerJohn,  I commend you for that.  Too many sellers are willing to send the customer out the door with an engine they know will need service.  Ebay has become their place to off-load some questionable items, and then they tell the buyer to see the manufacturer if there is a problem.

Sincerely, John Rowlen

In this particular case, the engine runs fine in Command. The odds that someone is dumb enough like me to pay top dollar for features they will never use (since I run Conventional only) are pretty poor.

I bet you can number the people who would run this loco in Conventional on your hands and toes. Really

I am actually embarrased to admit I would pay so much for features I will not use. If I wasn’t a huge Great Northern fan, there is no way.

I will stick with LC+ in the future.

Call it a “return to sanity.”

Dave,

I would still by legacy if running in conventional. I've yet to buy one lionchief engine.

To me, with Legacy I am paying a lot extra for features I wll not use. With LC+, I am paying a little extra but not nearly as much.

I wish they made pure conventional runners again and at a lower cost, but I know that loco has left the roundhouse for good.
