Oh no! My Susquehanna PS-1 arrived today, and I did not open it yet. Not to worry. I will either cut off the thumb tack couplers with a dremel or replace the trucks and couplers with Lionel's die-cast sprung trucks and couplers with hidden uncoupling tabs.

I don't believe the "New" hidden uncoupler trucks are actually sprung.
